Position Overview: The Behavior Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum of social skills training, behavior-change systems, and staff training that addresses the overall and individualized behavioral needs of students with developmental disabilities as related to their specific education, employment, social, and independent living goals. This position serves as the lead staff member for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of the social skills curriculum and behavior-change systems for students.  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in special education, behavior analysis, or a related field required; Board certification in Behavior Analysis highly desirable. 

Education/Experience: Two or more years of professional experience within an educational setting and two or more years of direct experience working with young adults with developmental disabilities; experience working within academic and community settings preferred.

Location: Fort Lauderdale and Miami

Status: Part-Time

Position Overview: The Job Coach assists Marino Campus students by supporting their career development.  This position oversees students as they gain work experience at employer internship sites and assists them in learning to perform job tasks to the employer’s specifications.  The Job Coach also helps students learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as a worker at the job site.  Various part-time shifts are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm for a total of 20 – 25 hours per week.

Education/Experience: High school diploma and leadership skills required.  Must also have own transportation, a valid driver’s license and flexibility for travel within Broward County.  Work experience in education or with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Instructor - Technology

 

Location: Miami

Status: Full-time

Position Overview: :  The Instructor will coordinate, develop, and implement a program of instruction that supports the technology curriculum.  Courses include the Microsoft Office Software Suite.   This position utilizes best practices in instruction to assist young adults with developmental disabilities to learn required skills and to obtain and sustain competitive employment in technology. 

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required with two or more years of experience using/teaching Microsoft Office products.

Position Overview: :  The Instructor will coordinate, develop, and implement a program of instruction that supports the overall curriculum. Courses include general classes such as  health, employment, and finance.  This position utilizes best practices in instruction to assist young adults with developmental disabilities to learn required skills and to obtain and sustain competitive employment in their chosen field.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required with two or more years of teaching experience.
