Campus Director

Location: Miami

Status: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Campus Director handles a wide variety of responsibilities to ensure effective and efficient operation of Marino Campus at FIU.  This position provides leadership in directing the flow of work and support to all students, instructors and staff to ensure operational procedures are being followed and educational standards are being met.  The Campus Director interacts with parents, employers, and the community to further the Marino Campus mission and also oversees planning, budgeting, and student recruitment for the campus.  This position reports to the Executive Director of Schools and Employment Programs. 

Education/Experience: Master’s degree with experience teaching, supervising instruction & professional development, and managing school programs required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish required.  Must also have local work experience with existing community contacts.  Direct experience working with young adults with developmental disabilities highly preferred.


Location: Fort Lauderdale

Status: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Academic Coordinator oversees all curriculum and instruction for Marino Campus and is responsible for implementing policies and procedures to monitor satisfactory academic and employment-related progress for students.  The Academic Coordinator also on-boards and supervises new instructors, substitute instructors, and mentors. This position reports to the Executive Director of Schools and Employment Programs.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with experience teaching, supervising instruction & leading professional development for instructors required.  Should also have relevant experience in admissions or student recruitment. Direct experience working with young adults with developmental disabilities highly preferred.

Academic Coordinator


Location: Fort Lauderdale

Status: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Career Services Coordinator oversees the development of relationships with employers to create internship and job opportunities for students and participants in Dan Marino Foundation and Marino Campus programs.  This position supervises staff who provide job coaching for individuals with developmental disabilities and supports their efforts to create and implement plans for students and participants to successfully obtain and maintain competitive employment positions.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with experience counseling, job placement, job coaching or a public vocational rehabilitation program required.  Equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.  Must also have supervisory experience.  Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities providing job coaching preferred.

Career Services Coordinator


Location: Fort Lauderdale

Status: Part-Time

Position Overview: The Job Coach assists Marino Campus students by supporting their career development.  This position oversees students as they gain work experience at employer internship sites and assists them in learning to perform job tasks to the employer’s specifications.  The Job Coach also helps students learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as a worker at the job site.  Various part-time shifts are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm for a total of 20 – 25 hours per week.

Education/Experience: High school diploma and leadership skills required.  Must also have own transportation, a valid driver’s license and flexibility for travel within Broward County.  Work experience in education or with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Job Coach


Location: Miami

Status: Part-Time (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 Hrs/Week)

Position Overview: The Instructor will coordinate, develop, and implement a program of instruction that supports the overall curriculum.  Instructors will utilize best practices in instruction to assist young adults with developmental disabilities to learn required skills and to obtain and sustain competitive employment in their chosen field. 

Adjunct Hospitality Instructor


Location: Fort Lauderdale

Status: Full-Time 

Position Overview: The Instructor will coordinate, develop, and implement a program of instruction that supports the technology curriculum.  Courses include the Microsoft Office Software Suite.   This position utilizes best practices in instruction to assist young adults with developmental disabilities to learn required skills and to obtain and sustain competitive employment in technology.  This position reports to the Academic Coordinator.

Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required with two or more years of experience using/teaching Microsoft Office products.
